Thursday Trainings with OSB ( 5/18, 6/15, 7/20, 8/17)

LA County DEO Office of Small Business

Thursday Trainings with OSB

Join the Office of Small Business team every 3rd Thursday of the month for training, updates on programs, resources, live Q&A and provide feedback along the way!

We will be discussing a different topic every month, here is a list of our upcoming topics:

May 18 - Local Small Business Enterprise (LSBE) Certification: The LSBE Preference Program boosts contracting opportunities for small businesses in L.A. County. Certified LSBEs receive a price preference which helps level the playing field for certified small businesses bidding on L.A. County solicitations.

June 15 - Social Enterprise (SE) Certification: The SE Preference Program was designed to increase contracting opportunities for enterprises that have a social mission to enhance the County in terms of its economic and environmental sustainability, including the financial well-being of residents who are vulnerable and face barriers to gainful employment and housing.

July 20 - Community Business Enterprise (CBE) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Certifications: The Community Business Enterprise Program encourages business owners who are minorities, women, disabled veterans, or disadvantaged to capitalize on opportunities in government and private-sector procurement programs. The DVBE Preference Program is designed to enhance purchasing and contracting opportunities for businesses owned by disabled veterans.

August 17 - APEX Accelerators Program: This program can help your business compete for government contracts by connecting you to workshops, contracting opportunities, trainings, networking events, and individualized counseling.
