Join Small Business Majority, Women's Economic Ventures and FOUND/LA for a new interactive cohort series to put you in charge of your personal finances. We’ll help Los Angeles-based women entrepreneurs get back to the basics of financial wellness, business planning and budgeting. These lessons can help even the most seasoned business owners get out of a financial rut and scale their business

(1) Financial mindset and understanding credit

During this session, we will cover the importance of having a financial mindset and understanding your financial past. Additionally, we’ll explore the basics of credit so you can manage your debt effectively and purposefully.

 

(2) Financial habits and mindful budgeting

Date: January 31, 2023 / Time: 5:30pm

During this session, we will focus on identifying needs vs. wants and the importance of maintaining a budget. You will also learn about tools that can help you simplify your spending and focus on what you can control. We will also dive deeper into the importance of separating your personal and business finances.

 

(3) Financial goals and saving for the future

Date: February 7, 2023 / Time: 5:30pm

During this session, you will learn how to establish realistic and specific goals to serve as the basis of your financial strategy and prioritize saving for your future. 

 

(4) Access to capital and avoiding predatory lending practices

Date: March 7, 2023 / Time: 5:30pm

During this workshop, we will help you navigate safe financing options, spot predatory lending practices and find free local business assistance.

 

(5) Building your financial confidence

Date: March 14, 2023 / Time: 5:30pm

In this workshop, we will highlight the different types of no or low-cost business advisors, attorneys and legal experts, bookkeepers, marketers, and financial advisors who offer their services to small business owners.
